AUTOSAR BSW Preliminary Verification

The various specifications and international standards applied to automotive software development today continue to diversify.Accordingly, product specifications and evaluation specifications must also comply with the various applicable international standards; however, confirming this compliance requires a significant amount of man-hours that increases in proportion to the number of applicable standards.Additionally, this also applies to BSW unique to AUTOSAR, where it is necessary to verify compliance over a wide area spanning from customer-specific specifications to international standards.

Harnessing not only our knowledge of OEM specifications and international standards acquired through years of automotive software development, but also our extensive experience with BSW and related tools, we provide feasibility study services that offer robust support for various pre-development activities.

While BSW is designed with versatility in mind, it is not necessarily the most convenient solution for implementing specifications.To identify obstacles to achieving the intended specifications, we make use of skills gained from past embedded development experience to the fullest extent. By implementing prototypes before mass production, we verify the feasibility of specifications and propose improvements.We have a proven track record of detecting discrepancies in ISO interpretations between OEMs and vendors, and identifying deficiencies and proposing solutions for specification definitions, which serve to mitigate the impact on vehicle development by identifying issues prior to mass production.

When adopting new communication protocols or various standards in ECUs, establishing the corresponding evaluation specifications is also essential.In addition to implementing ECU-side software tailored to our customers’ evaluation specifications and environments, ATEC also carried out the implementation of testers (opposing devices) according to requested specifications. This enabled us to verify the content of customer evaluation specifications and propose improvements.
